Whole Hog Sports making changes to Message board Tomorrow

I just got the below from WholeHogSports

I guess they say they will not be outdone by Hawg Channel  :-)

Dear subscriber,

On Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 10 p.m. we will be making a change to our message board platform at WholeHogSports.com.

With football season beginning this weekend, we decided to make this change now in order to avoid any unnecessary disruption of the service going forward.

In this email, I hope to answer some questions we anticipate you will have.

Why are we making this change?

Our message board platform for the past three years is no longer providing the technical support we need. Web technology is constantly evolving and this lack of support would cause future problems with our website, including authentication issues that might make it difficult for you to sign in to your account or possibly even site outages like the one we experienced last Thursday.

Will I be able to keep my username?

Usernames will be preserved. One slight change in this system is that spaces are not allowed in the username, so if you have a two-word name (i.e. Matt Jones) it will be modified to one word (i.e. MattJones).

What will change?

The view of the forums will look a little different, although we have done our best to keep the feel as familiar as possible.

Will my past posts be available?

We have archived past posts and anticipate those will be available.

Will my login change?

Your login will not change. It will still be the same email and password combination you have previously used to access the message board.

We are hopeful this is a smooth transition, but please keep our customer service contact information on hand in case you experience any trouble. You can call our office at 1-800-757-6277 or email wholehogsports@wehco.com.

We value your business and appreciate your understanding as we make a change that is best for the long-term future of our website.

Matt Jones
