FAYETTEVILLE – Arkansas will play its final home men’s basketball game of 2019 on Saturday (Dec. 14) versus region rival Tulsa. The game will be telecast on ESPNU and tipoff is set for 12:30 pm on Nolan Richardson Court at Bud Walton Arena.
After Saturday, Arkansas will close the December by facing Valparaiso (Dec. 21) at North Little Rock’s Simmons Bank Arena and traveling to Bloomington, Ind., to face the Indiana Hoosiers (Dec. 29).
Excluding former Southwest Conference schools, Tulsa is Arkansas’ most common non-conference opponent with 60 previous meetings dating back to 1931. However, this is just the sixth time the two programs have met in this century.
Arkansas leads the all-time series 36-24, including a 24-8 advantage in games played in Fayetteville. The teams have not met since Jan. 2, 2007, a game Arkansas won 68-59
No NET, But #14 RPI, #9 Seed in Bracketology
  • The first official NCAA NET rankings come out Dec. 16.
  • Arkansas has an RPI of 14, down three after an overtime loss at Western Kentucky. Arkansas’ RPI is better than eight teams in the top 25, including Villanova, Arizona, Oregon, Baylor, Tennessee, North Carolina, Memphis and Michigan State.

  • His 93.9 FT% ranks 10th in the NCAA.
  • The Arkansas record for FT% in a season is also 93.9% (62-of-66) by Ricky Medlock in 1975.
  • Only six Razorbacks — for a combined nine times — have ended the season shooting over 90% from the line.
 Joe – in Just 43 Games – Nears Career Top 10
  • Isaiah Joe went into several record books last season. He set four school records for 3-pointers, two SEC freshman records (while being just the fourth SEC frosh to lead the league 3PT%) and made the fourth-most 3-pointers by a freshman in NCAA history.
  • Joe is on the verge of entering the Arkansas career record for 3-pointers made.
    ^ Joe has made 143 career triples — 10 shy of 10th (153 by Jonathan Modica (2003-06).
    ^ Joe has made 143 treys in 43 career games. By comparison, Modica needed 118 games to make his 153.
    ^ Joe made 113 triples as a freshman and entered the season needing to make just 40 3’s to enter the career top 10.
    ^ MORE IMPRESSIVE: Joe is knocking on the career top 10 for 3-pointer made, but, with 363 career 3’s made, he is still 64 shy of the all-time top 10 for attempts.
  • Joe makes 39.4% percent of his 3-pointers. At that pace, he would rank ninth in school history.

I have watched this game tonight between Browns and Jets and I am convinced that the Jets who have gone through 2 QBs do not have legit QB on the team. Brandon Allen, Dak Prescott and Chad Kelly all have equivalent stats in SEC and got drafted same time.  I think if Brandon was with NY Jets he may be viewed as a star. Gabe Osabuohien dismissed from Razorbacks

Razorback forward  Gabe Osabuohien  was dismissed from the basketball team on Thursday. Osabuohien, 6-8, 221, played 15.1 minutes per game during the 2018-19 season. He started in the last eight games for the Hogs, and the Little Rock Southwestern Christian product by way of Canada averaged 3.1 points per contest and brought down 3.2 rebounds. THE REAL PROBLEM WITH HOGS BASKETBALL

 I posted another article about the basketball program and after 6 games I am still not impressed.  The 6-0 start and top 5 recruiting class has made Arkansas fans delusional.  But, that's how fans are.  Some fans believe if you are not bragging about the program or always thinking positive you can't be a fan.  Newsflash, it's okay to tell it like it is and still be a fan.   The real problem with the Hogs??  The inside game or rather the lack of is going to be a big problem for them.  Yes, folks that's the same problem they had last year.  Did anyone watch them play against UCA?  They got out rebounded by a team that won't come close to winning their own conference.  You heard me right.  Out rebounded by a Southland Conference team. The biggest problem last year was lack of size.  And once again it's the same problem again this year.   There are many fans that are so excited and actually believe that Muss is doing a great job.  My question is how?  There argumen

Hurts led the Oklahoma Sooners to a 49-31 victory over the Houston Cougars in Sunday's season opener at Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. The Alabama transfer finished 20-of-23 for 332 yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions and took the first step in his effort to direct the Sooners to their third straight College Football Playoff. He also added 176 yards and three scores on the ground.
