Gameday Live: Arkansas vs Portland State

The  Arkansas Razorbacks , coming off a 2-10 season, open 2019 on Saturday with a game vs. Portland State, 4-7 in 2018. It is the first ever meeting between the two teams. While Portland State has beaten FBS teams in the past, in 2015 they beat Washington State and North Texas (66-7!), they are two years removed from a winless season. Arkansas is 13-1 in their last 14 openers, with the lone loss coming to Auburn in 2014. Expect for a game that won’t be very close. We should get a chance to see both  Ben Hicks  and  Nick Starkel  get playing time as well as a lot of the freshman. This should be a tune up for the Ole Miss game next week. Agim confident heading into senior season

Defensive tackle  McTelvin Agim  is confident heading into his final season as a Razorback, and he is the leader of an experienced defensive front for the Hogs. Agim, a.k.a. Sosa, made a permanent move inside to defensive tackle after playing primarily at defensive end a season ago. The senior has embraced the move, as he has put on weight and feels more comfortable inside. For the Texarkana (Texas) native by way of Hope High School, getting to the quarterback and breaking up plays behind the line of scrimmage has come naturally from the tackle position. During fall camp, he focused on plugging gaps during practice and took the coaching really well. “It definitely sunk in. It's going to be pretty sad for me. It's going to be a pretty sad game for me, but it's going to be fun at the end of the day. I get to put the Razorback on the side of my helmet for one more season. At the end of this season, I'm done. I just understand that I've got to take advantage of it

Whole Hog Sports making changes to Message board Tomorrow

I just got the below from WholeHogSports I guess they say they will not be outdone by Hawg Channel  :-) Dear subscriber, On Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 10 p.m. we will be making a change to our message board platform at WholeHogSports.com. With football season beginning this weekend, we decided to make this change now in order to avoid any unnecessary disruption of the service going forward. In this email, I hope to answer some questions we anticipate you will have. Why are we making this change? Our message board platform for the past three years is no longer providing the technical support we need. Web technology is constantly evolving and this lack of support would cause future problems with our website, including authentication issues that might make it difficult for you to sign in to your account or possibly even site outages like the one we experienced last Thursday. Will I be able to keep my username? Usernames will be preserved. One slight change in

Arkansas football: 10 bold predictions for the 2019 season

The Arkansas Razorbacks bottomed out in 2018, going 2-10 in Chad Morris’s first year. That record included losses at Colorado State and at home to North Texas. This year, the Hogs need to show signs of improvement, and they need to do it quickly. A good start would be to win every nonconference game, considering they don’t play any Power 5 foes (more on that later). Can Morris and his squad turn things around and improve enough to keep fans happy this fall? Here are 10 bold predictions for the 2019 season in Fayetteville: 1. The Razorbacks make a bowl game Yes, that’s right. You heard it here, folks. The Razorbacks will improve from 2-10 in 2018 all the way to bowl eligibility in 2019. How, you ask? Well, let’s break it down. I think the Hogs will win all 4 nonconference games (Portland State, Colorado State, San Jose State and Western Kentucky). That leaves 2 SEC games they have to win. I think they beat Ole Miss in Week 2, outscoring the Rebels in a battle of lackluste

Nothing like Practice, for those that may be watching here is a chance to simulate a live gameday to be ready for next week. The wait has lasted long enough for the college football season enter our lives in 2019, and Saturday night, an intense rivalry game will launch the campaign as the 150th anniversary of the game begins to be celebrated. No. 8 Florida and Miami (FL) will square off on the neutral site location of Camping World Stadium in Orlando, serving as the marquee game of "Week 0." This season-opening tilt will also serve as an appetizer to the rivalry being renewed in the form of a  home-and-home series in the 2024-25 seasons . And this is the perfect place to take a look at the line for the game and decide which side of the spread has the best odds on which to place a pick. The Gators are coming off of a solid season in Dan Mullen's first season as their coach, which included a 10-3 record and a thorough dismantling of Michigan in the Peach Bowl.  Feleipe
