This site is to replace the Hawg Channel that will be decommissioned by Disqus on 9/1

    The free option is at the bottom of the 3 paid options that are side by side
    the steps are create a Gmail account linked to your current or a new Disqus ID & then create a Blogger acct & opt to set up a blog - set it up & look for its web address / URL ( copy it ) & then on the Disqus ID you intend to use on the Blog select add disqus to a site scroll down to get started - select I want to install Disqus on my site & enter the blogger URL ( web address ) that Blogger created & then proceed with Disquses instructions it should produce a little app on your blogger site on right side of the the settings editing page which you will need to cut & paste in to make Disqus the default comment software rather than bloggers own on the left side of the page ( I am quoting from memory as I cant go thru it step by step without creating another blog site )

    BTW the drawbacks are 1) new pages are created in blogger not Disqus - disqus is merely an attachment to each new blogger page
    2) only posters with a Gmail acct & signed up to Blogger can be added as Page Authors to put up new pages - all disqus users can post but only blogger uses can put up pages and only after they send you by mail their Gmail address for you to create an invitation to add them as a Page Author on your blog
    3) Blogger pages do not send out invitations , they dont work like Disqus does so I recommend you post all your channel followers a link to the blog & create tag lists to invite posters to any page you create on your bl og

    Yes its a big headache creating & running a Blog site unlike Disqus channel ownership & for an elderly tech illiterate like me its time consuming & confusing

Jaylin Williams commits to Arkansas

Jaylin Williams  has committed to the Arkansas Razorbacks. The 6-9, 230-pound forward/center from Fort Smith (Ark.) Northside went public with a commitment video that was released via Instagram on Saturday afternoon, becoming Eric Musselman’s third addition for the Class of 2020. Williams chose the Hogs over co-finalist Auburn, but also held offers from Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, UCONN, Illinois, TCU and several others. The Natural State native made an unofficial visit in Fayetteville on November 5 and then returned to the Hill for another visit just four days later. Football Walk-On Tryouts Scheduled For Sept. 16

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.  – The University of Arkansas football program will hold a one-day tryout for enrolled students on Monday, Sept. 16, at the Fred W. Smith Football Center. The tryout is only open to full-time students at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, campus. Tryout participants must have played football in high school or college (letter of recommendation from high school and/or college coach preferred) and must bring their own football workout apparel and equipment. Check-in and registration will be from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Fred W. Smith Football Center lobby. Gameday Live: Arkansas vs Portland State

The  Arkansas Razorbacks , coming off a 2-10 season, open 2019 on Saturday with a game vs. Portland State, 4-7 in 2018. It is the first ever meeting between the two teams. While Portland State has beaten FBS teams in the past, in 2015 they beat Washington State and North Texas (66-7!), they are two years removed from a winless season. Arkansas is 13-1 in their last 14 openers, with the lone loss coming to Auburn in 2014. Expect for a game that won’t be very close.
